Call for Tutorials, Short Courses, and ETON Talks

Tutorials are expected to cover topics of current and broad interest and help participants gain insight and fundamental understanding. Preference will be given to proposals submitted by presenters with a recognized track record of contribution in the relevant field.

Duration: each tutorial will have a duration of 3 hours, including a 20-minute break, and will take place on September 13.

The maximum number of presenters per each tutorial is two.

Proposals must be prepared according to the template at Tutorial Proposals Submission Instructions and submitted to the paper management system (opens December 2025)

Notification of acceptance: January 14, 2026

Short courses differ from tutorials in that they should cover a broader spectrum of ideas and results, and should not focus only on research results from a specific individual or group. Both established and emerging topics are welcome. Experiential, hands-on components that introduce methods and tools are also encouraged. Short courses include a completion test, and will provide Professional Development Hours (PDHs) and Continuing Education Units (CEUs) certificates to those who complete them.

Duration: each course should have a total duration of either 6 or 9 hours and be delivered on September 13 and 14 in sessions of 3 hours each (inclusive of a 20-minute break), with no more than two sessions per day and at most one session on September 14.

The maximum number of presenters per short course is three.

All short courses will be recorded for possible future use. All accepted short-course instructors will be willing and available to review technical edits during possible post-course production. Additionally, instructors must promptly provide any necessary course material upon request.

Exercise materials/Certificates: To enhance a deeper and multi-sided understanding of the course content, some exercise materials, and possibly some hands-on experimentation should be available for the course attendees.

Expert-TO-Non-expert (ETON) talks offer an overview of significant advancements and emerging topics and are designed for both students and industry professionals to bridge knowledge gaps. These lectures are delivered by the original inventors or leading experts in the field, providing valuable insights and fostering a deeper understanding of cutting-edge developments.

Duration: Each talk should have a total duration of 1 hour
