Experience Research in Action with Lab Visits – IEEE ICIP 2026

ICIP 2026 attendees are invited to explore some of Tampere’s leading research and innovation facilities through a series of technical lab visits on Thursday, September 17, 2026. Three exciting destinations are available, all located in Hervanta, Tampere: VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, Hiab, and the Centre for Immersive Visual Technologies (CIVIT).

The visits offer a unique opportunity to experience cutting-edge developments in areas such as automated vehicles, intelligent load-handling systems, computer vision, immersive technologies, advanced displays, and volumetric capture.

Participants interested in joining a visit should complete the Lab Visit Preference Form and rank the available options according to their interests. Preferences must be submitted by Sunday, September 13, 2026.

Please note that submitting the form does not guarantee participation. Each venue has limited capacity, and attendees will be allocated to visits based on availability and collected preferences.
